GBE2 Topic of the Week: First Love

When people hear the topic of first love, most go to their first human love. You know the guy or the gal you first fell in love with.

Sure I have one of those, but that's not today's topic.

My first love was a beagle, named Julie, my brothers and me had when we were kids.

Ms. Julie didn't like being alone outside at night. She also wasn't allowed in the house.
Julie was a pretty cool dog. Fun to play with, but unfortunately we had to give her away because it wasn't fair to her not to be able to run in the yard because it wasn't fenced in.

That's my first love as a pet.

Then there's my first car a Ford Granada. Don't ask me why I loved that car, but I did. Had lots of fun with it.

Sure I could have talked about my first love with a guy, but that topic gets pretty boring when you hear lots of others talking about it.

  2. I think everyone loved their first car, no matter what it was. Mine was a huge tank of a thing that my dad thought would be safer that a cute little set of wheels, but the sense of freedom that a first car brings is the same, whether it's a hunk of junk or showroom-new.

And I agree with Claudia, this week's heartfelt posts have been anything but boring. :O)

  3. I love my dogs so much! That certainly is an appropriate first love.
